Arden Wood is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Each and every gift in any amount will have an immediate effect in fulfillment of our healing mission! Your gift may be directed to one of the following funds:

General Fund

Contributions to this unrestricted fund are vital at this time as this fund covers our highest fiscal priorities. General Fund donations are essential to maintain our day-to-day operations and meet special needs as they arise.

Financial Assistance Fund

Our financial assistance and benevolence policy supports all those who come to Arden Wood, regardless of their ability to pay the full costs associated with Christian Science nursing care. Over the years, we have provided millions of dollars in financial aid to our patients. Your donation to this fund enables us to alleviate a sense of financial burden during a patient’s stay at Arden Wood.

Christian Science Nurses Training Fund

A fundamental component of our mission is to provide training for dedicated Christian Scientists to become Christian Science nurses, based on Article VIII, Section 31, in The Manual of the Mother Church. This fund directly supports Training in the Christian Science Nursing Arts at Arden Wood.

Christian Science Visiting Nurse Service

Our team of experienced Christian Science nurses travels throughout the greater Bay Area (and sometimes beyond) to visit and care for Christian Scientists in their homes. Your contribution will help sustain this increasingly popular service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   

Building and Restoration Fund

Maintaining and improving the facilities at Arden Wood to better meet the needs of our nursing patients, residents, and many guests often requires the service of professional contractors in addition to our dedicated maintenance and housekeeping staff. Your gift will help keep Arden Wood’s buildings and grounds in good repair and up-to-date.

Associates Fund

Arden Wood staff members, called Associates, may not accept personal gifts or tips.  The Associates Fund accepts gifts from anyone who wishes to show appreciation for the services he or she has received at Arden Wood. Contributions to this fund are collected and shared equally among the Associates during the Thanksgiving season each year.
