Sheltered Care Program
Elizabeth Trevithick, C.S., of Alameda, California has been elected to the Arden Wood Board of Trustees. Elizabeth has a degree in Liberal Arts from Harvard University and has several articles published in the Christian Science periodicals. She is a longtime friend of Arden Wood and we are delighted to welcome her as our newest trustee!
Elizabeth joins our other members of the Board: Heidy Boyman (Oregon), President; Bob Rees (Bay Area), Vice President; John Creed (Southern California), Treasurer; Mary Gallagher (Bay Area), Past President; and Paul Shankwiler (Bay Area). How Grateful we are for their vision, prayer and listening guidance for Arden Wood.

Sheltered Care Program is Blossoming
All of our Sheltered Care guests are longtime workers in the church and several are Christian Science practitioners. As part of our effort to care for the “aged reformer,” as our Leader calls them, we have increased our activity program to include opportunities for car rides—a chance to get out and see new views around San Francisco. Drives through Golden Gate Park and wave watching at the beach are favorites. There are group activities, as well as one-on-one support with Bible studies, reading aloud, and an occasional movie night. Our sunny spring days have seen a parade of guests going outside for walks in the garden. Many of our guests also attend nearby Ninth Church and share testimonies of healings they’ve had.
