ACCOUNTS OF HEALING

Responding to individual calls has led to joyous witnessing of healing. Some examples:

Bandaging and mobility needs were cared for, and the son of the patient was trained to care for his mom during additional visits from the Christian Science Visiting Nurse.  This case was completely healed.

An individual who had declined any care, awakened to see the need for it, and in the process saw members of the family reconcile.  The bandaging needs were healed, and an appropriate sense of home was manifested.

A young man had fallen down the stairs and had a need for cleansing and bandaging an area on his head.  Prayerful thinking led the Christian Science Visiting Nurse to bring supplies to address the patient's need for comfort, cleanliness, and protection. Continued prayer kept the nurse’s thought clear and listening for guidance to continue to meet the need in a timely and compassionate fashion. Training was given to the mom who was assisting, as teaching family members simple nursing methods is something else a Christian Science Visiting Nurse does when appropriate.  A follow-up visit was set up, and that visit incidentally found the patient wearing a hat to cover the bandage (still needed to protect the area) and he left and was off to work.  Complete healing followed quickly.
