Facilities Manager (Full-time)

Overview
The role of the Facilities Manager is to support and address Arden Wood’s buildings and grounds, especially the main building (117,000 sq. ft) and its surrounding landscape. The Facilities Department addresses maintenance and safety issues, many of which are age-related – the main building opened in May 1930. The Facilities Manager expresses expertise, “wisdom, economy, and brotherly love,” and especially patience, flexibility and grace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6-10 years’ experience and proven proficiency in building/grounds maintenance
  • 5+ years’ successful experience in managing/supervising a maintenance team
  • Appreciation for and understanding of old buildings; desire to maintain them rather than renovate them
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of fire codes, building and safety regulations, purchasing, budget and inventory management, plant security
  • Proven leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Computer literate with database, spreadsheet, and digital audio programs (CMMS, Maintenance Connection, Excel, Outlook, Zoom)
  • High standards of personal conduct, integrity, and discretion
  • A member of The Mother Church and an active branch church member; Class-taught preferred
