What is Arden Wood?
It is a delivery vehicle, bring the goods and good of our Father-Mother God to all those seeking healing, inspiration, a residence, and rest .
What are these goods?
Principle – AW is demonstrating the rules and laws of divine Science, destroying the so-called laws of matter or error. It has fidelity to the knowledge that God, good, does heal and that no other means are necessary.
Life – AW is seeing the wholeness and perfection of all those within its doors. It is the untiring activity and alertness of the nurses as well as those who maintain the premises, who help to oversee the operation and provide for everyone’s welfare.
Mind – AW is providing the intelligent and inspirational teaching for those who wish to become nurses, seeing the “practical wisdom” and “demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice” in action.
Soul – AW is seeing the perfection of each individual who comes for inspiration and healing. It is bringing the spiritual resources of goodness, joy, harmony, quietude, and peacefulness to all.
Spirit – AW is uplifting thought to know that the only and true substance of man is perfect and that this can be demonstrated completely and effectively. It provides joyful activities to those who call AW their home.
Truth – AW is demonstrating that there is no duality; that the spiritual reality is where we live, move and have our being. It is where honesty, commitment and fidelity to the truth is upheld.
Love – AW is bringing tenderness, kindness, peacefulness, and thoughtfulness to those who seek healing and to those who reside and work there.
Arden Wood is not brick and mortar (or roofing tiles!). Its home is established in Mind and the resources necessary for its continuance have already been provided. We know that the blessings it brings are God-derived and the goodness it shares are eternal.

Thank you so much for this replay. What a wonderful helpful talk by Madelon Maupin. You asked for sharing of some uplifting thoughts and I found that the last testifier at the TMC Testimony Meeting so inspiring. A listener from the West Coast sent that. Some spiritual insights in that testimony must’ve touched a chord for every listener and I’m sure it will do the same for Arden Woods. Just a few hours left to hear it.

I found this meaning of impulse to be most helpful: process of renewal. Impulse also means incentive, motive, goal, need, motivating force. I recalled where Mrs. Eddy refers to process: “…neither red tape nor indignity hindered the divine process. Jesus required neither cycles of time nor thought in order to mature fitness for perfections and its possibilities.” (Un. 11:23-26). It is an important time to renew my faith and understanding that renewal is always present. Arden Wood is a right idea that has always been led by the divine process of renewal. This is an opportunity for all to join in renewing our commitment to the power of the divine process of nowness. We are moving forward from the premise that His work is done and we just need to look up and away from all material resistance. “He (Jesus) said that the kingdom of heaven is here, and is included in Mind…” (Un. 11:26–27).

Dear Friends,
Below are some Inspirations that came to me while including AW in my prayers.
Any challenge AW is facing isn’t personally AW’s bcs AW’s status is always in perfect harmony with its divine Principle, Love. Instead of challenges belonging to AW as they would seem, they are instead general claims floating around in the atmosphere of mortal thought. But AW’s atmosphere of thought is not mortal but pure and free. The harmonious conciousness surrounding AW has a filter that prohibits mortal claims from entering. Christ is that filter. All thoughts must pass the approval of the Christ which guards thought.
We ask the Christ if each thought or claim is approved. If not, we have Divine Authority to observe that it remains on the outside only trying to enter. Mortal thoughts have never entered AW bcs they cannot find AW. AW is hid with Christ in God.
It is Truth that grounds us on the rock and not human will or personalities. Childlike trust and protecting angels keep us grounded and safe in His care.
AW, a spiritual idea, is not subject to material conditions. Material conditions and mortal opinions can change, but spiritual ideas can weather any change, bcs they are safe in Mind.
Love is going before us with its tender lesson. The only possible purpose of this challenge is to demonstrate more of God’s grace and more of man’s unity. There is no law in Love that requires suffering, anxiety, or loss. The only thing that can ever be lost is a misconception of God’s complete and abundant care.

I’m grateful for the truths that I learned from Madelon Maupin’s talk recently given to Arden Wood’s Annual Meeting. My thanks extend to all who made the talk possible for all Arden Wood attendees and listeners over the web.
There is much to thank in her inspiring Metaphysical talk “Moving at the impulse of the Holy Spirit”. It showed an awakening and re-assuring of the progress that is going on, it signifies that Arden Wood is moving ahead with a large expectancy of good as Mary Baker Eddy says that “ to begin rightly is to end rightly” (S.H. p262).
By praying diligently we affirm and acknowledge God’s perfect plan is in place and unfolding. “Divine Love inspires, illumines, designates and leads the way” As we ponder this truth that God is in complete control, the operation of the Holy Spirit’s perfect plan leads the way forward, no avenue is blocked, no right desire unsatisfied and no need unprovided.
“Growing into our full capacity” Man is the reflection of God’s work. Leaning on God completely and learning to follow His will not our personal will, God certainly guides and helps us to see clearly the right path to achieve. The Bible reassures us that “they who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”
I will continue to ponder the inspiration which Madelon’s talk , it brought to me the present and the promising future ahead that we can settle in our right place wherein we can bless and be blessed abundantly.
