From San Francisco
- When leaving the airport, follow signs to Interstate 380 West to 280 North.
- As you approach Daly City, move into the second lane from the left, which will become the third lane from the left.
- Continue on California 1/19th Avenue/Golden Gate Bridge. Stay to the left and continue on 19th Avenue.
- After four traffic lights (1.25 miles), turn right on Vicente Street, and go three blocks to 16th Avenue.
- Turn right onto 16th Avenue. Drive straight ahead to Wawona Street.
- Turn left on Wawona and then turn right into Arden Wood.
- Continue up the driveway to our main entrance.
From South
- Via U.S. 101 or Interstate 280, take 1-280 North and follow above instructions.
From North
- Traveling on U.S. 101 and California 1, stay in far right-hand lane on the Golden Gate Bridge.
- After the bridge tollbooth (which is fully electronic), stay in right lane, and take 19th Avenue turn-off.
- After emerging from the tunnel, you will be on Park Presidio—which becomes 19th Avenue.
- After passing through Golden Gate Park, drive about 15 blocks.
- Because left turns are prohibited, you must turn right at Ulloa Street, left at 20th Avenue, and left again at Vicente Street.
- Drive straight ahead to 16th Avenue and turn right.
- Turn left at Wawona Street.
- Turn right immediately into Arden Wood.
- Continue up the driveway to our main entrance.
From East via Ocean Avenue
- Cross Bay Bridge, following signs to U.S. 101 South; keep right.
- Take exit marked Daly City/280.
- Continue on 280 to the Ocean-Geneva exit.
- Take immediate right onto Ocean Avenue and drive approximately 2 miles.
- Turn right at 19th Avenue, right at Vicente Street, and right at 16th Avenue.
- Turn left at Wawona, and right into Arden Wood.
- Continue up the driveway to our main entrance.
From East via Monterey Boulevard
- Cross Bay Bridge, following signs to U.S. 101 South; keep right.
- Take exit marked Daly City/280.
- Continue on 280 to the Monterey Boulevard exit and stay on Monterey Boulevard.
- In approximately 2 miles, Monterey will become Santa Clara Avenue.
- Cross Portola & West Portal Avenues at the signals.
- In one block, turn left at Wawona Street and cross 15th Avenue.
- Turn left into Arden Wood.
- Continue up the driveway to our main entrance.
Amtrak and Greyhound Bus
- The Amtrak bus will stop outside the Chase Bank on 555 Mission Street.
- Greyhound will stop at 425 Mission Street.
- Walk west along Mission St towards 2nd Street.
- Turn right to walk north on 2nd Street for one block to Market Street.
- Montgomery BART/MUNI station will be on the intersection of 2nd and Market.
- Follow MUNI subway directions below.
MUNI Subway
- Go underground and take “K” or “M” outbound line.
- After streetcar comes out of tunnel, pull stop request cord.
- Get off on West Portal Avenue at 14th Avenue (1st pull stop).
- Walk straight ahead on 14th Avenue, and turn left at Wawona Street.
- The driveway into Arden Wood’s main entrance is on the left.
